Non-invasive blood glucose monitoring

GlucoMetrix plc develops in co-operation with Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich a non-invasive blood glucose monitor for both, continuous and spot measurements, which allows self monitoring of blood glucose levels by people with diabetes. Based on Quantum Cascade Laser (QLC) technology with photo-acoustic detection, the device will be a non-invasive glucose monitor, focused on patients demanding a need for glycaemic control. The device will have a better accuracy then the invasive solutions, and will provide a superior ease of use and safety. The development of the device is expected to be finished in late 2011, targeting thereafter market entry.
